Peter Shea is a senior producer and editor for New Pages Media. His work in media started at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he received a B.F.A. in Film and Television. While at NYU, Peter wrote and directed several films and videos including the short film, “Ugly and Me”, which screened in competition at the Oxford International Film Festival, the Dover Film Festival, and the Dahlonega Film Festival.
Peter’s professional resume includes producing roles at three PBS television affiliates. His work for public television included producing and editing stories for the arts broadcast magazine “State of the Arts” for New Jersey Public Television; being the lead producer on the documentary series “Our Town” for Maryland Public Television; and producing promos and fundraising for WGBH Public Television and Radio. After leaving PBS, Peter was the senior video producer for the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History in New York City from 2014 through May 2022. He is currently working as a Media Specialist for the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University and pursuing a Masters at the university.
Peter lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his partner, Sarah, and their dog, Frankenstein, and cats, Phoebe and Candy.
